AI crypto trading bot built around risk rules

Meridian AutoPilot is a crypto trading bot that scans Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and other major coins, combines price action with blockchain data and only trades when strict risk rules allow it. It starts on a $10,000 demo account, and trades your own exchange account only if you connect an API key with trade permission.

How the strategy works

  • Trend: trades only in the direction of the 1-hour trend (EMA 50 vs EMA 200).
  • Pullback: waits for price to pull back to value on the 15-minute chart.
  • Momentum: enters when momentum turns back in the trend direction (RSI re-crossing 50).
  • Volatility: skips dead or chaotic markets using ATR, and sizes stops from it.

Blockchain and market context

Before any trade the bot checks live public data:

  • Stablecoin supply (USDT + USDC) — growing supply means fresh liquidity entering crypto.
  • Funding rates on BTC perpetuals — very positive funding means longs are crowded.
  • Fear & Greed index — no new longs in extreme greed, no new shorts in extreme fear.
  • BTC mempool fees and ETH gas — congestion halves the bot's risk.

The risk rules it can never break

  • 1% of equity risked per trade, cut to 0.5% after a 10% drawdown.
  • Every trade has a stop-loss; on a real exchange it is placed on the exchange itself.
  • Minimum 1:2 reward to risk; the stop moves to breakeven at +1R.
  • Maximum 2 open trades and no trade whose worst case could reach the shutdown line.
  • 6-hour cooldown after 3 losses in a row.
  • Pauses for the rest of the day after a 5% daily loss.
  • Shuts itself down permanently if the account falls 20% below its starting balance.

Demo first, real money only by choice

Every member can run the bot on the demo account and watch each decision in the bot log. Live trading is available on OKX spot (buy-side only, no leverage) after you connect your own API key with trade permission — Meridian never asks for withdrawal permission. You can stop the bot or close its trades at any time.

What a bot cannot do

No bot can guarantee profits. Gaps, slippage, exchange outages and changing market conditions can cause losses larger than planned. The rules are there to keep losses small and survivable — test on demo before using real funds.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI crypto trading bot free to try?

Every new account gets a 7-day full-access trial, and the bot runs on a $10,000 demo account by default.

Which exchanges can the bot trade on?

Live trading currently supports OKX spot with a trade-enabled API key. Other connected exchanges show balances only.

Can the bot lose all my money?

It is built to stop long before that: it pauses after a 5% daily loss and shuts down for good at a 20% loss. Slippage and gaps can still exceed planned losses.

Does the bot use leverage?

No. Live trades are spot buys with an exchange-side stop-loss and take-profit.
